The Philly Jays will be back in Australia this November and most of you already know what they have been up to for the past 6 months: living and recording in London; setting up a studio; they will have crossed the USA no less than 3 times; played over 50 dates in the UK; toured South Africa; and even ducked back to Australia to play the main stage at Splendour in the Grass.

Now the band are super excited to release a brand new single, Save Our Town, which was recorded in their very own London studio called Safety Second, set up by the band themselves. Whilst they haven’t had heaps of time to use it, they did manage to record this new single as well as live crowd favourite, 99 Problems – a punk cover version of Jay-Z’s original. The two songs will be released on a limited edition seven inch vinyl as well as on iTunes, available on 17^th September.

Even more exciting is the inclusion of the two songs plus heaps more on a re-release of the bands debut album, Hope is for Hopers. This time around it’s called ‘Hope is for the Hopeless’ and is bound to get fans excited! It will feature not only the original 12 tracks, but also the two new singles, and a heap of bonus B side tracks from other releases for a total of 21 tracks. There will also be a live DVD featuring footage of the band playing at a house party in Brisbane last month in true gritty punk style, plus a fold out poster featuring heaps of photos. ’Hope is for the Hopeless’ will be on sale on October 1^st.

The new singles and deluxe album release will be supported by a massive Australian tour starting in November. Supporting Philadelphia Grand Jury will be young Melbourne punksters Howl, and Sydney’s indie kids Bearhug, so it is sure to be a fantastic tour that you will not want to miss out on!! Tickets to all shows go on sale September 10^th.
