I can’t believe I missed this – shame on me!
Shame indeed.
Hey guys,
Just heard the Splendour set. All I can say is: Thank god, this is not the first time I am hearing you. The audio was worse than your Brisbane gig, Berkfinger was fairly drunk, your new single is pretty stock standard, and you played twice as fast as you normally do. Yes you guys have been world touring and it has probably been very hard but when people pay $400 to see artists, they expect to see top quality in ALL the artists.
Really, it was disappointing because I have seen you boys twice now and each time you rocked the house and sounded great. I might not have been there but I think it wasn’t such a great gig.
Anyway, keep working on that album and put out some great tracks like I know you will. Peace.
We were actually really happy with the set when we walked off stage, but we haven’t been able to listen to the live recording of it yet. Triple J has all the control over the actual sound of the recording so I’m surprised it wasn’t particularly clear. Its a bummer that you didn’t enjoy it though.
And Berkfinger says that he had only had half a beer before we played, so he wasn’t drunk. Three hours after we played though ….
Hello MC Bad Genius, Berkfinger and Calvin
in response to Tom’s comments, I can only say that I was at Splendour and your set rocked ! It was good to see you all at Beach Road as well.
Loved the pics from Splendour and South Africa ! The giraffe picture is very cute.
Wish I had also camped at Splendour … but I missed out on tickets initially … so was commuting each day from Brisbane ! I think I saw Berkfinger during the Passion Pit set – I was down in the mosh and our attention was drawn to the Golden View bar, I looked up and saw Berkfinger on the balcony (well I think it was him – hard to tell 100% from the barrier!). I ran into Calvin’s daughter on the Friday – bit of a fluke considering so many people but then again I kept running into a guy from Sydney but no such luck of seeing you guys
Oh, and are you guys playing at a festival in Bathurst in November 26-28?
best wishes
Nicole
@Rohan you’re not the only one
